Managing Aviation Operations
About the Book Series
The series of books published under the heading Managing Aviation Operations, originally edited by Peter Bruce and John King, and now edited by Dr Barry Humphreys, is well established and increasingly highly regarded. Its initial objective remains as valid today: to fill a gap in aviation management books by providing texts written by industry experts on their specialist subjects, but readily accessible to non-experts keen to gain a greater understanding of specific aviation-related subjects. The series is extensive, varied and growing, with a focus on airline, airport and related environments.
The books are designed primarily for those already employed, directly and indirectly, in the provision of air services, seeking a greater understanding of topics outside their immediate areas of expertise, perhaps, for example, with a view to moving to a new function within their companies. The aim is always to produce books readily comprehensible by non-experts, while still providing a comprehensive and detailed coverage of each subject. This approach also makes the books appropriate for air transport students or professionals in different sectors looking to a role within the aviation industry.
